2.50 Cheltenham: After three runs over regulation fences Any Currency returns back to the unique Cross Country course. Since switching to the cross country scene he has become one of the leading horses of this sphere, having won last year’s Cross Country Chase over course and distance at the festival last year. He has contested 11 of the unique chase which has seen him win 3 times, but more importantly trade to less than half his BSP in-running in all but one. This year’s race isn’t one of the most competitive renewals with quite a few inexperienced albeit highly rated chasers trying cross country for the first time. While he is high in the handicap, he only just failed to give the well-handicapped Josies Orders 23lb in his last cross country handicap, and now races off just a 2lb higher mark. This bold front-runner should get his own way upfront and looks a great bet to trade low; he currently trades around 10.0 for a back-to-lay.
